Hi LWA & Seavets Sailors!
Our 2024 Summer Series continues this coming Saturday with a Joint Event taking place at Burghfield SC near Reading. Our Race Officer, Tony, has advised us that the “tide is very slowing going out” at Burghfield.
Food and drink:We are pleased to advise that there is now a Café at Burghfield which is open from 9.30 to 3pm.
As always, we keep a close eye on the weather forecast for all our events and liaise with the Race Officer concerned, so please check your emails on Friday.
There is a height barrier which will be open between 08:45 and 09:15, so if you have a high vehicle please make sure you arrive within this time slot. If you are a late arrival the combination lock code is 8457, please replace the lock and scramble the rollers after entering. The bottom gate should be open, but if not, the code is 8456. If you have a problem after this, please phone Janet on 07711 552265. Code for the Clubhouse and Changing Room is 2587.
As usual Briefing is at 10:30 with Race One scheduled for 11:00. Two races in the morning and two in the afternoon. Please unload and remove your vehicles to the car park as soon as you can.
Any bags or kit can be left with Janet at the Registration Desk.
Subject to the number of participants in each class, prizes will be awarded to 9.5, 8.5 (Ladies) and 7.8 classes and youths.
Pre-EntryPlease pre-enter online via the LWA website. Entry fees for anyone who signed up and paid for Oxford AGM and Melting Pot Races will be carried over to this event.
If you pre-enter and are unable to attend we will carry your fee over to the next event you do attend. We will accept entries on the day but we would prefer you to pre-enter. If you are paying at the event payment by card is preferable. Adult entry fee: £20.00, Youth/Junior: £10.00
Buoyancy:It is essential for you to bring your buoyancy to every event as many clubs now make this obligatory.
