24th June 2017
Barnt Green is on the outskirts of Birmingham, the beautiful green fields and
woods surrounding Upper Bittell Reservoir give no inkling of the city which lies
just over the horizon. The club house is always very welcoming, especially on
cold days when an open fire blazes away in the clubroom, there is a bar and light
catering for the hungry and thirsty - AND the natives are very friendly! (This
is one of my favourite locations, as you can see!)
Please be aware there is a railway bridge which you must pass under to get to the club, maximum headroom is 11ft-3ins! and sections of the roads on the approach are single vehicle width with passing places.
This year our event
will be held jointly with the Midlands Windsurfing Association. We will have the
usual Seavets classes, and may have a separate start, in addition to the MWA classes, dependant on entries on the day.
Entry fees, signing on and prizes will be as usual for Seavets members.
Green SC web site
find Upper Bittell Reservoir, leave the M42 at Junction 2, head north and turn
left at the first roundabout. At the next roundabout turn right.
End Road in Barnt Green, turn right down Copton Church Lane to the club.
